Birthday Balloon Wishes

This card uses another scrap from my never-ending scraps of Kathy Davis birthday paper. I'm trying to finish using this 6" x 6" paper pad, but the scraps seem to multiply overnight. 

The balloons were cut using a die from Whimsy Stamps and the stamp is from Inkadinkadoo. 

The layout is based on sketch 249 from Freshly Made Sketches.

I'm entering this card over at the Whimsy Stamps blog where the current challenge is Anything Goes. 

Cheerful Kathy Davis Birthday Cards

These cards were made using a 6" x 6" paper pad called "Hello Sunshine" from Kathy Davis.

Sketch #83 is a really useful as a way to use large prints or patterns that need to be broken up. I used a stamp from Lawn Fawn.

Sketch #168 is great. I think I'll use it again and again. Airborne Wife had the idea to cut the squares into 3" x 3" so that it is an ideal way to use 6" x 6" paper pads. The stamp is from the $1 bin at Joanne's.

Sketch #216 did not appeal to me at first, but once I started working with it the logic of it was clear. The same Lawn Fawn stamp worked here.

Purple, green and sparkles, oh my!

This group of cards was made with paper from Kathy Davis.  I was attracted to the bright, bold designs, but the large size of the prints made the paper hard to work with. As with my other recent posts I'm listing the Operation Write Home sketches that go with each card.

Sketch #125. I think this turned out a little too busy. The letter stamps are from There She Goes.

Sketch #201 is simple but fun. I used rub-on letters from Heidi Grace. They matched the milky teal flowers perfectly.

For sketch #202 I used stickers from Tim Holtz and inked over them with chalk ink.

Sketch #207 looked simple at first, but simple looking sketches can be challenging too. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

Sketch #220 was difficult for me, but I made it work. The sentiment is a little difficult to see. It is in the lower right -- from Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments.

I just love sketch #235. It's so graceful, yet simple and good for paper with large images.

Sketch #237 I used a stamp from Close to My Heart. The embellishments are from sets meant to coordinate with this paper.
