Advice from a dog

The theme this week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog is "Furry Friends," so I made this dog-themed card. The paper is from Bo Bunny Happy Tails and the funny sentiment is from Riley and Co.

The challenge this week at the Mod Squad Challenge blog is to make a Fast and Easy card. This card was pretty easy. No die-cuts, embossing or coloring. Just two circle punches for the dog image. Otherwise this was all done with one color of ink and a paper trimmer.

No Matter What Life Brings You...

Riley and Co makes dozens of really funny sentiment stamps. As soon as I saw this one, I had to have it.  Then came the challenge of finding an appropriate stamp and paper to match. I'm really happy with this combination, and it fits with this week's Wednesday Challenge this at Simon Says Stamp -- "All Creatures Great and Small."

Life's Ruff

The theme for the Wednesday Challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is "All Creatures Great and Small." I have a collection of mounted rubber dog stamps that I bought in one big lot on Ebay (along with fish, trilobites, flies and lot of other somewhat odd stamps). This cute pup was one of the stamps in the lot. It looks hand-mounted and the only thing on the stamp block is the word "detailed" written in pen.

For the card design I turned to Operation Write Home Sketch #190.

Puppy Card

As I have mentioned before, I am slowly making my way through all of the Operation Write Home card sketches. At this point, I have used over 100 sketches. Sketch #152 did not appeal to me at all when I first saw it. Now that I made this cute card with it, I think it might eventually become a favorite. As a bonus, if you cut the squares to 2" x 2" you can cut into a 6" x 6" paper and not have any odd pieces left over.

The theme for the Wednesday Challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is "All Creatures Great and Small." I think this cute little pup qualifies.

Each month Our Daily Bread Designs sponsors the shipping on boxes of cards for Operation Write Home based on how many people participate in their challenge. The February ODBD Challenge at OWH is "Animals."
