Smooch!

This card is part of my on-going attempt to make one card from each Operation Write Home sketch. OWH always wants love cards. That's so much fun for me because love cards are fun to make, but I don't have that many opportunities to use them myself. 

I'm really pleased with this card. If only I had more of the green and black flowered paper I'd make several more. Too bad. This card was made using some of the smallest pieces left from a pad of paper. 

The Monday Challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is "Just a hint of clover." Hmm. My card has maybe a bit more than a hint of green.

OWH Sketch Challenge #247

The latest card sketch from Operation Write Home is Sketch #247. This was a nice opportunity to use up odds and ends left from a 6.5"x 6.5" pad of Kaisercraft paper that included a bunch of punch-out embellishments.

Purple, green and sparkles, oh my!

This group of cards was made with paper from Kathy Davis.  I was attracted to the bright, bold designs, but the large size of the prints made the paper hard to work with. As with my other recent posts I'm listing the Operation Write Home sketches that go with each card.

Sketch #125. I think this turned out a little too busy. The letter stamps are from There She Goes.

Sketch #201 is simple but fun. I used rub-on letters from Heidi Grace. They matched the milky teal flowers perfectly.

For sketch #202 I used stickers from Tim Holtz and inked over them with chalk ink.

Sketch #207 looked simple at first, but simple looking sketches can be challenging too. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft.

Sketch #220 was difficult for me, but I made it work. The sentiment is a little difficult to see. It is in the lower right -- from Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments.

I just love sketch #235. It's so graceful, yet simple and good for paper with large images.
